I figured with Noelie's post about characters and Alts, it would be nice to list some, race and class.
Here are mine
The Scryers
Sofiana- My first toon, we haven't played with her for awhile although I kinda like her. I love the hair colors the Night Elves get! She's a hunter, level 11.
Charissa- Blood Elf, Warlock. I play with her sometimes, not sure I like Warlocks yet, I would rather play with my hunters. Level 8
Jodotha- Blood Elf, Paladin. I think she is Sassy. I like playing with her, but it doesn't happen much. Level 11
Araxie- Good thing I named this Hunter that, she is one of my favorites to play with. I have lots of fun with her. Blood Elf, Level 16
Azazia- Dreaenei- Another hunter, what can I say they are comfortable for me to start with so there you go. Level 10 Just got her pet. I like her, just not sure I like the quest line.
Matayas- Collin's Paladin. He has fun with it. Until mom starts getting on his nerves. :)
Shandris
Richeldis- My first on this relm, Hunter, Blood Elf, Level 15
Shiral- Level 3 druid Night Elf.
Roisian- Rogue my fastest leveling character since this is the one I have been using the most to play with Noelie's paladin. Now 22. Not sure I'm very good at rogue, but I'm trying. Blood Elf
Kyriella- Paladin Blood Elf, I created this one to work with crafting a bit. Made her a leathercrafter to go with some of the skinning I do with Roisian. Level 6
Jerusha- another one I created to do some crafting with. I will probably make her a tailor. I also made her a mage so I could get a taste of something different. I love the power she has, but I'm sure I will need to duo at least in the near future. Very, Very slow to level with all the breaks I have to take between fights. Blood Elf Level 7

My Husband, Randy.
I got him into playing MMORPG's. He knew they were out there, but hadn't played them, because his current state of technology didn't allow the ease of play.
When we met, yes online, after he had sent me a couple of really thoughtful gifts, like a cell phone and flowers, I went ahead and sent him a much needed hard drive and an upgrade in memory. We tried for a video card too, but that didn't work out so well, but it did allow him to use his computer to get signed up for FFXI.
As this is in later years, than in the beginning where there were hordes of youngsters all running around looking for lower level groups, it was hard. It was hard to make progress in that game without parties, yet everyone was further up the road. Still, I think it gave him an inkling of just how much fun it could be.
Once we married, I suggested we try WOW, because in a another big positive for that company, they had made it more or less easier for a popular game to be within reach of more people, and his computer.
He dies more than anyone I know, but then that is in part because he is totally unafraid to go out and discover what is in World of Warcraft. I know his character has seen things and been places I have not yet gone. Someday he is going to probably be one of the knowledgeable players around.. if I can convince him that part of the game is making money for equipment and spell upgrades, that is.
Yes, we did get him a better computer, better than mine to play with. That should also make all of the difference.

World Of Warcraft leads to Alt Feeeeva..
I don't know about Tigersue, but I know for myself the ability to have alts in many different worlds (servers) makes it all to easy for me to create "toons".
It was no wonder I would think of Altoholic as the best thing since sliced bread. I wish that PlayOnline had been as willing to allow such things, because it sure would have been nice to see what was on my mules.
So I find that a plus mark on the side of creators of World of Warcraft. They have other ones. The content that includes avenues for solo and group play is another. I know the "children" out there that comment on the boards of these games are always saying that they don't understand why you play MMORGP's if you solo all the time, but these are the sames kids who have mommy and daddy taking care of their every needs, so the ability to sneak in some leveling, while there is activity by others going on all around you, is a plus.
On the other hand, WOW does attract more than it's fair share of children....and not the most mature children at that. Actually now I think about it, I am insulting children who don't behave as badly as some of the young adult/adolescents that flock to WOW. Lately the conversation on Shadris-Horde has been that if you are a real girl you don't play WOW, and how they hate it that guys use the female toons to level up.
And these people think they are qualified to comment on the political state of the day.
To be sure those personalities were on FFXI, but they tended to whine that they needed hep getting some piece of "uber" gear or something and caused drama in links hells. And I know those same personalities dot Everquest II from a converstation I heard on guild chat last night.
However I digress. The biggest reason I play WOW at this point is that my husband is enjoying it, my children are there, and my sister's computer can manage it. It has some really great points, like the ease of leveling in comparison. It has some things I don't like as much, like the fact you have NO HOME. Sorry, but I love that in other games. Addons
Okay, so we have been playing I think it is time to list the addons we like. Maybe that could be a side bar option. I know we both like altoholic, I just got it downloaded and installed. What else would be useful and fun to have?

I like to game
I have played a few game such as Caesar II, III and IV, as well as Pharaoh and Zeus.
However the last few years MMORPG's are something I enjoy playing.
I adore FFXI and am looking forward to their new one.
I think that Everquest II is one of the most beautiful games I have seen.
I love the Idea of Lord of the Rings, but found the graphics.. well just not as good as the aforementioned ones. Just my own opinion. Yours may differ.
Right now, I play WOW, as my hubby Randy seems to enjoy it. So I will try to go into the adventures of learning how to do things here.
I have a hunter and a paladin that are my two favorite alt's. This game turns you into a bit of an "altoholic" (Yes, there is a fantastic addon with that name :) )
